Who is responsible
This website is operated by Neil Ault trading as Sweet Uproar Entertainment, the controller responsible for the personal information described in this notice. It covers sweetuproar.uk, www.sweetuproar.uk and the artist pages within this website. Privacy contact: hello@sweetuproar.uk.
What happens when you browse
Our website is a public music and artist information site. There are no visitor accounts, contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, payment facilities or file uploads. You do not need to sign in to ChatGPT to browse. We do not add advertising trackers, audience analytics, third-party fonts or embedded music and video players.
Technical information and website security
Requests to the website pass through our hosting and security providers. This can involve your IP address, requested page, request time, browser and device information, referring page and security signals. We use this processing to deliver pages, investigate errors and protect visitors and the website against abuse. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure website. See our cookie notice for device storage used for security.
Emails and enquiries
If you email us, we receive your email address, name if supplied, message and any attachments. We use these to respond and manage the enquiry, based on our legitimate interest in handling correspondence. If you ask about entering a contract with us, necessary pre-contract steps may instead be the lawful basis. Please send only information relevant to your enquiry; use links to artist material rather than large attachments. Incoming mail is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing into Microsoft Outlook, where we read and respond to it. Replies may come from our Outlook address. We do not add correspondents to a marketing list.
Service providers and sharing
OpenAI provides the ChatGPT Sites hosting platform; Cloudflare provides the network delivery and security used by the live website. They process technical information needed to provide those services. Our email provider is Cloudflare Email Routing for forwarding and Microsoft Outlook for the mailbox. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address abuse or legal claims. We do not sell your personal information. Provider information: OpenAI Sites terms, OpenAI privacy information, Cloudflare privacy information and Microsoft privacy information.
International processing
Our hosting, security and email providers operate internationally, so technical information and correspondence may be processed outside the UK. This site does not promise UK-only storage. The provider privacy information above describes their international processing and safeguards. The applicable service agreements govern processing on our behalf. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
We do not maintain a separate visitor database or copy website access logs into a marketing database. Hosting and security records follow the providers’ applicable service retention arrangements. The security cookie has the expiry described in our cookie notice. For enquiries, retention depends on whether the enquiry is resolved, reasonable follow-up is still needed, it forms part of an ongoing collaboration, or records are needed for a legal obligation or dispute. We remove information when those reasons no longer apply. A resulting business relationship may require separate privacy information.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to access, correct or erase your information, restrict its use, and receive portable information where that right applies. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Requests are normally free and must be handled within the applicable legal deadlines, usually one month, subject to lawful extensions or pauses. Email hello@sweetuproar.uk. Please include the page address and enough detail for us to understand your request.
Complaints
You can raise a privacy concern with us using the contact details above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: make a complaint to the ICO.
Other websites and changes
Links to other websites open services with their own privacy information. We update this notice when our services or data use change, including changes to the way we handle enquiries. The date at the top identifies the latest update.
