A small amount of security storage
Our own website code does not set cookies or use local storage, session storage or IndexedDB. The live hosting service does set a Cloudflare security cookie. We do not use advertising, audience-measurement or social tracking technologies, and we do not load third-party music or video players.
Cloudflare __cf_bm
Provider: Cloudflare. Purpose: distinguish automated traffic and protect the website from bots and abuse. Scope: the website hostname you visit. Expiry: after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity; continued activity may renew it. It is sent securely and is not accessible to our page JavaScript. Cloudflare generates it separately for each site, rather than as a cross-site advertising identifier. It was observed in the live website response during our 2026-10-31 check. Cloudflare’s cookie documentation explains how it works.
Cloudflare browser checks and cf_clearance
The hosting service can add a Cloudflare security script to a served page. We observed its challenge-platform script in the live HTML. These browser checks can use the cf_clearance cookie to store a security-check result and avoid repeated challenges. The cookie may therefore appear after JavaScript runs even when it was absent from the initial page response. Its lifetime follows the hosting service’s challenge settings and can be renewed by security checks; Cloudflare documents a default challenge-passage lifetime of 30 minutes, rather than a guaranteed expiry for every visitor. Consent and browser controls
These security technologies support the safe delivery of the website and are treated as strictly necessary for that purpose. We do not use them for advertising or audience analytics. There are currently no optional cookies to accept or reject, so we do not display a consent banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, although that may affect security checks or access. Closing a page does not necessarily delete a cookie.
Public browsing and external services
Browsing this public website does not require a ChatGPT account or visitor login. Cookies on a separately visited OpenAI, streaming or social website are governed by that service’s own notice. We link out to other services rather than silently embedding their players.
Changes and questions
We will review this notice before adding optional tracking, analytics or embedded services, and obtain consent where required before those technologies run. Email hello@sweetuproar.uk.
